Standing under a 1,100-pane glass dome, you are now inside the Florida Aquarium's Wetlands gallery, surrounded by springs, streams, saw grass marshes, rivers, hammocks, cypress swamps, bogs and mangroves (some man-made, some real). Birds fly free inside the dome, and alligator hatchlings and snook swim in the tanks by your feet.Spin your viewer and meet Florida Aquarium educator Lorien Braun, who is about to feed the gators swarming behind her. The Florida Wetlands is the first of four galleries that allow visitors to trace the path of a drop of water as it makes its way from the Florida Aquifer to the deep ocean. Next is the Bays and Beaches gallery followed by the Florida Coral Reefs and Florida Offshore.
